ID Asian mark/sig on an AA Vantine Co. porcelain dish, please

If I ID'd this correctly it is an AA Vantine & Co. mark, although, all the others I'm finding do not have the extra characters underneath the blue mark.
There is an additional mark/signature inside the dish. Can anyone read it, and I wonder why it's inside the dish? Would the artist have placed their signature inside like that? (Sorry if the mark is not oriented the proper way).
Oh and what would you call the shape of this dish?, or what is its purpose?

You might like to look at vantines.net. There's a box that could be yours; I can't tell from the angle. It's under Chinaware.

 

Darn it!! Yes looks very similar in shape, so I guess mine is a box missing its lid.

The black-inked mark is simply "32," upside down.

the chinese characters read from right to left in pronunciation "Ba" "Ta" "Een" so i guess this was the way to write Vantine in Japanese/Chinese (the characters are used in japan too and i wouldnt know if this was made in china or japan)
