Featured Hobnail tumbler -- 1880s? Doyle & Co.?

In my searches, I've found instances where tumblers in this hobnail pattern are attributed to Doyle & Co. and dated to the 1880s.

Does anyone know if this pattern, with the flat top border, "pointed" hobnails, and hobnails on the bottom, was ever reproduced or made by anyone else?

 

I've never heard of Doyle and Co.

Glass Tumblers is a book written by Cherryhill and published by Collector Books in the early 2000s.

The page number refers to where the glass is pictured in the book.

yes, I understand that it matches your piece but to answer your 'initial question' about reproduction, the text at the top indicates only bowls were reproduced. Also and quick check at replacements shows no reproduction tumblers listed there.

By the way the tumbler design also looks like the Dew Drop pattern by Columbia, which includes some double-eye hobnail pieces.

 

Thanks for the additional info, TallCakes. I think I understand what they mean by "double-eye"... in the picture the hobnails look like a little mound on top of a bigger mound. My tumbler just has one single mound, so unless Columbia made single-eye hobnail pieces, I guess it's not from Columbia.
