I am interested in hearing opinions who could have painted this oil antique/vintage piece based on the colors, portrait, etc. I have my ideals, but would like to hear other opinions. I think it's someone that's good and is known for mixing adjoining colors.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanking all in advance.

It would be easier if you just told people who you were attempting to attribute it to and then let them give their opinions. Any signature, gallery tags or provenance?

The image attached looks a lot more like a print (in a book maybe?) than an actual photo of an oil painting.

Perspective and the proportions of the woman are awful. Waist up, not too bad, but the legs and arms (and particularly the hands) are not the least bit professional. Also looks like the artist made some kind of mistake on the left side of her face and had to cover it up with hair.

I don't know who painted it but it is poorly done ... The arm on the left side is WAY out of proportion as is her entire lower body too small to support her much larger upper body ... Joy.

Vintage as early 1960s. You are sure it's oil? Is there a frame? A signature? Any stickers, labels or hand written notations on the back? (A photograph would be helpful.) In what part of the world did you acquire it? What do you know about it? And agree with above that the proportions are painful.

Her huge hat that doesn't compliment her ugly dress .. That right-hand leg that is in sad shape .. even the flowers didn't bring a smile to her face .. she needs a BIG HUG !!!! :)

    Debora,

It has a monogram that I found last evening. I just posted it. 100% sure its oil per local antique dealer. It was actually out of the frame. It was found in the attic of a home he was repairing for sale.

Horrible "painting" if one can even call it that!

@StanB - I'm a bit confused. . .did you buy it from a local antique shop, buy it on eBay or sell it on eBay (per say_it_slowly's posted listing)?
