Here I am presenting you this "Secretaire" that I think is and has the 1930 Art Deco Original Look.
Still in a very good shape ..Except few angles shipped (2..And very minor..)
I think the wood used is Rosewood..?? The inside has got this Ivory color settings with Glass shelves as well..Plus 2 Mirrors...As per photos.
This secretaire is part of 2 Art Deco Furniture Items...For sale at best offer....I have not been able to see and photographing the Wardrobe.which was in a more private room....
My questions as usual will be...Is it an original Italian designed 1930 Art Deco Furniture.?? Behind the back was written in shalk and black two numbers...1235...and 15937...Didn't see any name or signature...Maybe too in hurry to check at the right place...??
    Dim: 125cm H...65x35 W..
I do believe that Art Deco Furnitures are "IN" and Tendance.....But does this piece could find a demand in the Art Deco Market...???
    As usual...Thanking you in advance for your expertises and recommendations....JB 001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG 004.JPG 005.JPG 006.JPG 007.JPG 008.JPG

Thats a lovely and quite useful piece ! Im thinking it "might" be more 50s-60s than 30s . I see a slight Asian influence ? Someone could turn that into a bar easily .

If you squint it almost looks like the old early 19th century "Secretaire Abbatant" form.

But it isn't. :) Agree with Johnny on the 50s or 60s date. Definite bar potential.

Thanks a lot...What about the wood...Rosewood..!!?? Find this Secretaire quite feminine...in a mixed decoration bedroom should be very decorative ....But as a Bar....Not for my daughters...Thanks again.jb

The grain seems tight for rosewood, but the pictures are dark. Given the time period, mahogany is more likely.

Yeah, a bar is probably not the best adaptive reuse for this for your daughters. Viva la Secretaire! :)

    Another vote for 50s.
Those glass shelves were ideal for glassware (for a bar ).

True...But I can see it more in a Girl bedroom if price reasonable.

I'm sure it would look very pretty, and it could certainly be used as a secretaire.

Sorry your offer wasn't accepted, I can't see the seller getting more for it.
The wardrobe looks 1940s to me. Nice enough for the style, but I can see your point. It has that look of 'this bedroom ain't big enough for the both of us, and it ain't me who's gonna leave'.;)
