Red paint or red enamel metal lid with metal handle

    I have either a red painted or red enameled metal lid with red metal handle.
    It is around 6 1/4" dia. I would like to ask for help with whether this is
    red paint or red enamel. the company, what it was used on and the decade.

    My vote is for enamel. I have several pieces of kitchenware that were enameled in bright colors - blue, yellow, red, green - but they are of various ages, so without knowing a maker it's tough to say "which decade." All of mine are 1970's or newer, but that doesn't mean your lid is the same.

    Flour or bread bin lid, could be 1920s or 30s. The bin would have been white enamel with red or black lettering.
