    Hello

Need some help identifying the make of this bracelet. Appears to have a makers mark in addition to the stamp. Any thought would be appreciated. I can post a few pics of the bracelet after I downsize the photos. Thanks!

Sterling from TAXCO, Mexico. Looks like Abalone.

Abalone and isn't that pretty? Given safety chain, I'd think a bit older than most.

Its definitely old and hand made. All the links have solder joints. Almost looks too nice for Mexico.

I agree. Although it is a pretty bracelet, most Mexican jewellery I've seen (or own) is of better quality.
The eagle mark looks to be the one from the ca 1948-55, which corresponds with the style of the bracelet.

It is Mexican and likely Taxco (my passion). It bears an eagle mark over-stamped with what looks to be the number 2. They stopped using the Eagle mark (denoting sterling content) in 1980. Abalone use was very popular in the early 1980s to mid 1990s. Look to "The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks," Bille Hougart, and "Mexican Silver, Modern Hand-Wrought Jewelry & Metalwork, by Morrill and Berk. Sadly, interest in these pieces has diminished. Prices range $15-$60. https://www.etsy.com/listing/755712...=sr_gallery-3-22&organic_search_click=1&frs=1
