Something to hold up the books

    Dropped into the local consignment store today (where they think they know everything, love shops like this!) and lo an behold, here were a couple of rather lovely Art Deco bronze bookends ..priced to sell at $20.

    Sure looked like they could be Hagenauer and of course, that is what they turned out to be once I got back home and had a look in my books.

    Unmarked, so early domestic production, 1920's. Score!
