    About 11" high. Any ideas where from or who may have made it? Thanks for your time.

    Thanks so much Don.:cat::)
    Maybe I wont be able to identify it but can anyone give me an idea of what type of glaze this is? The outside is so shiny I thought it was glass when I first picked it up.

    I see why you thought it was glass !!!

    LOL Komokwa:D, the bottom looks like a science project to me! I think it's really neat. I would still think it was glass if not for the 3 holes in the base which is found on a lot of pottery.
    Was thinking last night that I had a vase a few years ago with a similar shape and it was from Italy. Could this be Italian?, Or is this shape common in many areas?
    Thanks everyone so much.

    Wow, you're right....there is 4 little holes...I wonder if they have something to do with the glaze and shiny coating?
    Thanks Komokwa:)

    Generally, very shiny glazes like this are termed "High Glaze". You glaze has some great flowing crystalline properties to it. It has 3 stilt marks on the bottom. The 4th is a bubble burst. I can't conjecture on who made this, as it doesn't ring any bells. If I had to guess, maybe a CA pottery and mid-century or later. Nice piece that I would have bought as well.
