Can anyone help identify what this may be? It is about 15" tall and I think might be nickle plated. The bottom screws off and there are fine filters. Thinking something to do with drinks or coffee but really not sure at all. Possibly 1920's or 30's. Any information would be great thanks!
That plaque on the front seems to ID the maker and where made. But I can't read the country following "Made In." The name looks like Leity or Leiry or Leiby or some such?
The front says Made in USA and the name is in cursive which I'm having trouble making out. Here is a closeup picture. No idea what it was originally used for or part of.
8.8 lbs antique silver reactor laboratory steam punk Seihy Dome pressure vessel ( I don't claim this whole title to be accurate ) But I figured some type of pressure dome to be correct...
Any idea on the age or value? Looks like brass plated with silver or nickel potentially or just stainless steel.
Seitz pressure filter, for the food industry (according to one site, at least) but also perhaps used in microbiology; judging by the websites, could be used in a lab, or to filter wine, or in almost any industry requiring filtration under pressure:
The company may now be using the name "Memtec Seitz" http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Memte...+Seitz-Filter-Werke+GmbH+&+Co.+KG.-a018210924
