I'm not really good with glass but look at McKee Concord punch bases and see what you think (and then wait for some of the glass experts to correct me :))

    Hi,
It is NOT considered Depression Glass. It is a punch bowl base as SIS has stated.

My mother had a carnival glass punch bowl base very similar and she always used it as a vase. It wasn't until I left home and started getting into glass in a big way that I found out what it really was. People are always looking for these because either the bowl breaks or the stand breaks, so you shouldn't have any trouble selling, if you don't want to keep it.

I see punch bowl based upside down sold as vases all the time in thrifts, antique stores and the local flea. When I tell them what they are, the sellers think I am crazy

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

This was really educational. I now recognize/recall some punch bowl stands that were masquerading as vases.

IMO the stands make punch bowls look more elegant. And I also got an education about them when I started selling glass early on. I gave my daughter an Anchor Hocking Prescut set that included a base. I scrounged around and found enough punch cups, which wasn't hard to do being Prescut is still abundant at yard sales and thrifts. Around here, complete punch bowl sets are a dime a dozen.
