I know what it is, because my great aunt told me. It was used by her mother (my great grandmother).

I'm just curious to see if anyone else can guess it, before I spill the beans.

It measures 28" long and 4 1/2 inches across at the widest point. It is the same on both sides.

It's what we now call a motivational corrector. Previously known as a good old fashioned Paddle board;):smug:

I was just enjoying all the funny answers. This coronavirus thing has got everyone cooped up, and the levity was welcome!

Blooey did indeed get the correct answer.

It is an ironing board for shirt sleeves on the family farm. My great grandmother would send my great grandfather out to the fields every day in a freshly pressed white shirt. Why I don't know, but it got him the nickname the "kid glove farmer". She's the one who really ran the farm.

This was taken here in Florida at the stucco bungalow my parents inherited from my great aunt. It was built in the early 30's, and she bought it in the late 40's.

Looks to me like a slat out of the back out of one of those old wooden lawn chairs....
