I'm in the middle picking this up if she comes down from her price. I collect vase and jars. Looks old looks hand painted but no stamp maybe West china or before export? If someone can help me out IMG_7400.jpg IMG_7403.jpg IMG_7402.jpg IMG_7401.jpg

The quality of some of the "painting" is not particularly well done, smeared, dripped, inconsistent. Not sure what that means about age or origin.

Looks to be a very similar design and a much nicer decorating job.

I agree, Peranakan, also known by the older term Straits Chinese. These were made in Coastal China (Canton etc) for export to Peranakan communities in Southeast Asia, notably Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, where the trade routes and the Asian Straits were.
These are collectible among Peranakan, but many are better quality than this one.

The character in iron red in the photo below symbolizes marriage. It is sideways in the pic ;)

The one on ebay was never supposed to have a lid. The shape is different, and the top was closed with a cork or a cloth tied with cord around the top.

Won't the seller have to refund your money?

I just bought it yesterday. She sent it out today but if breaks due to lack of packing I'll get my money back
