I found this partially buried at an old homestead in western OK. It has water lines going in the bottom and back but no way to get inside (some kind of warmer I assume). Any ideas would be nice.

Is it attached to that flat metal sheet? Size/measurements?

Can a horse or some such animal get its nose into it?
What do you mean by; "...going in the bottom and back." Is it a loop?
Any indication there may have been a float attached somewhere?
    Is it about 8" x 8" x 12" with about 6" diameter inside?

Size always matters here so best to tell us with each post of anything. ;)

Good ideas SIS. I like the idea of being a square tub of a wringer washing machine.
