I got this in a box lot and have no idea what it is and whether it is worth selling. Can you help?

Hi there. Is the smaller hole deep enough to hold a pen? The object still with it looks like a desk seal that was never engraved.

Sweet! I'm thinking it's not cloissone - painted.

Agreeing with @scoutshouse, although not sure what it is!!

    Lipstick stand?

    Does the tube unscrew?

    I was thinking the same.

The design almost looks Persianish to me, BWDIK?

The design is an interpretation of Chinese "cracked ice" seen quite often in European porcelains but the colour is very French or at least derivitave of the French colours.

This is more than likely an inkwell, as @Bronwen suggested. The tubular piece is hard to discern in the pic but nay be a container (nibs?) if it is a hollow piece with a cap. Late 19thc.

Same idea for sure, but an extra lidded receptacle.

They also said it’s a seal, so you are quite wise. :)

Seals are related to intaglios & intaglios are related to cameos so... :)

Looks like most of these are identified as Limoges, ca. 1920 ish
