Help w/Vintage Compass

    What's the age and possible maker? Is it for a boat/yacht?

    On the metal base, near the rim are: 'EW and NS'. The dial has the letters: 'ABC and XYZ'.

    Size approx: 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 in.

    It looks like a fairly modern marine gimbal compass.
    EW & NS means East West & North South

    That's an Airguide course monitor, used mostly for racing, it's missing the hood with pointer.
