    Hi everyone,

Just happened to stumble upon a Statenjacht nr.461 billing boat in my attic.

Its in tip top condition with its original box and packaging. i dont think anything is missing.

The images i have attached are only there for illustration purposes. My box is just like the one in the pictures.

I understand from my research that its pretty old and i was also wondering if I was to sell it, what would it be worth?

    All replies are welcome!
    Thank You.[IMG]

Looks to be from the 1970s.

Yeah ive seen some on Google images. 99% of the pictures showing this model are linked to one website. It relates to a person selling it on ebay (a different seller) but there's no price specified -I already checked it out beforehand.

The link you sent for the Google Images show pictures of the actual boat which was called a Statenjacht -this is a kit for building a model of the boat.

Regardless, I understand where you're coming from.

Fonts are pretty unmistakable as typical of that time.

Thank you Debora for the link -I've read through it and it was pretty interesting.

So would it be wise to complete the model and sell it?

Also, what version would be worth more? Completed or left in the box?

    Thanks :)

I'd be surprised to find it worth more complete and how would you ship it?
Worth your time to do it?

On second thought, could be 1960s as well.

To be honest, all i really needed was an amount as to how much it was worth, its origins, and the date of when it was manufactured...that's if i did decide to sell it.

Although i might take a challenge and follow Debora's advice and build it -Then sell it if I needed.

Whoa! I didn't say build it. I would think it would be more valuable in box, unbuilt.

What I did say is look at "Sold" eBay listings to see what similar (boxed) Billing Boats sold for and whether they sold as BINs or auctions, and if, as auctions, they had multiple bids. That will help you established value. (Scarcity alone won't do it.)

Once it's built....MIB goes out the window....as well as most of it's value.
