Hello, everyone! It's been quite a while since I was here but I know this is the best place to get help with unknowns! This vase is almost 11" tall, 4" across the base and about 7" in diameter at the widest point. It is glazed inside. The base is glazed with some missing spots as you can see. Anything anyone can tell me will be appreciated!

This vase is 6 1/2" tall, 3 1/4" in diameter at the base and has the most beautiful etching in the glaze! It reads Birthday Greetings and either 1954 or 1934 in swirly curly script. The vase is heavier than it looks and is glazed inside. Base is glazed with a dry ring.

This looks almost like a craft piece and might have had something carved into the glaze on the bottom but it's not even recognizable as letters or numbers just a little swirly. 10 1/4" tall, 5" diameter base and glazed inside. Inside is all fine crazing, none outside! Part of a boudoir set?

Last one! (Wow, I just looked at my title and realized I hadn't planned on posting one of these! Call it a bonus!) And this one I'd really like to know what kind of glaze this is and maybe some ideas where to look for attribution. 7 1/2" tall, 2 3/4" diameter base and I just discovered the handle has been broken and repaired. Bright light does that! Thanks everyone for helping with whatever you can!

The second looks like Brush McCoy 050, not where I can look up the glaze - and can't see the etched year in your pics, but suspect '1934' is probably more likely...

Edit: Reckon it's 'Brown Onyx ' - I have a luscious Green Onyx version in my pottery collection.

Thanks, Cheryl. 1934 was might thought as well. I can see what I can come up with looking around. Thanks so much!

If I found that first one around here, I'd guess it to be CCC (Canadian Ceramic Craft). Second one as well.

Well, I found it here in Southern Wisconsin, but it coulda been from Canada. I'll look around a little. Thanks again, everyone!

Third looks German or Austrian majolica.

Third or fourth? I had thought majolica (and couldn't remember the term to save my soul!) but wasn't sure. And of course had no clue where! Thank you Ownedbybear!

Brush was my thought on the 2nd one. I thought it looked like their Oynx glaze.

Thanks for posting this. It's the first time I've ever seen pottery with an etching on the glaze.

Do you (or anyone) know how it was etched - acid? sandblasted? tooled? Just curious...

I did find another etched Mccoy vase, has Chicago 1934 on it. I haven't a clue how it was done though, just know it's lovely! Thanks everyone for all your help!

Sorry, the fourth one, the jug.

The vase with the blue birds is Brush-McCoy. Produced in 1915 as part of the Blue Bird Group. Most likely the numbers you can't read on the bottom are 043. It's a pretty hard to find piece.

Wow! Thanks, Don! In searching for Brush Mccoy bluebird, I came across 2 other vases that have been etched, all dated 1934, all but one with Chicago written on them. Wondering if the etching was something done at the Chicago World's Fair.
