After Doing a little searching on the 100 acres of property I live on, I came across a stream I didn't know existed. After following it, I found a jug poking out of the ground. I pulled it out, and after cleaning it up, here it is.

(Let me know if the link doesn't work?)
Can someone let me know the rarity of this since I can't find anything online about it. Also, it has a metal cap, and the plastic caps weren't introduced until 1960. So it's sometime before that. What is the year this type of jug was introduced? Is this the first version of the plastic jug? How could I clean it up more than I already have, and do you suggest I try to pop out the crushed sections, or could I end up damaging it more?

Unless I'm doing something wrong I would say the link doesn't work. Shows a couple pics of what looks like some kind of magazine

Sorry, your link is not showing a bleach jug - and most users here are leery of clicking on unknown links, so if you can load the photo to the forum you may get better responses...............

    BTW - WELCOME!

    Welcome!
As Mansons said many will not look at links, especially me.
But... I did this time and it's listed as PRIVATE.
So... make your photos, up to 10 per post, 480x640 and always use the full image button for all.

Ok, when I try to upload an image it says the file size is too large. As for the link I made the images public now, and if that link does not work try this one. Again, if it does not work tell me. And if someone knows how I can upload them straight to this thread from my device. (Iphone 4) please let me know

Did you size them as I said?
On a phone as long as you're under 1mb I think you're ok.
And there's no link in your last email...but remember what I said about links anyway.
You need to make it as easy as possible for people to help you.

Here are OP's pictures. Don't know why the last two look so much smaller.

    Hi,
Plastic jugs are just plastic jugs. Some of the Clorox bottles from the 30s are worth a few bucks. Not meaning any disrespect but put the jug in the recycle bin. Welcome to the board but looking around the stream you may find more treasure.

Indeed! Where I grew up we'd walk the streams around our place, and we found a dumping ground right next to a stream. Even as kids, with no real interest in "antiques", we found lots of cool things.

I was just talking with my brothers the other day about how I'd like to go walk that stream again to see if I could find that dump (though it being 40 years later might be a hinderance!)

Yeah I wasn't expecting it at all to be worth anything, but I just wanted to know how old it was
