Screen with silk etching ~any ideas?

    So who printed on the silk and when, is what I'm trying to figure out. That will give a better idea of when the screen could have first been made.

    1798 according to both the dealer and the National Trust on the links I provided. And, of course, there is no reason they have to be contemporary to the screen.

    I don't think we can know for sure. When is 1798 - time screen was made.

    I think all sources are using the date on the original prints for all occurrences. The prints on silk pick up the same identifying info as the prints on paper.

    There's no reason the silk versions have to be contemporary with the original publication. The Trust did not acquire their silk print until sometime after 1931. Seems reasonable to think the panels in the screen were new when it was made.

    it's a dressing screen. The shelves were for putting your bits and bobs on whilst you clad.
