2 Lamp Bases Help Needed

If you plan to resell, leave the sticker on. There's enough info visible to help with shell ID and I would agree that the label makes this piece unique. My mother was an Army vet and had a large collection of trench art made from shells and I never saw one with a label like this. I think it adds to the value more than taking it off to read the bottom would.

 

Whoa. Just looked up RCMP exhibit - Piece a conviction de la GRC. It means something that is an exhibit for a criminal trial! I think it might mean that this was an exhibit in a murder trial. You should definitely do more research before messing with it. It could be way more valuable historically with the label.

 

Ya, like I said......I think both items were used to bludgeon someone....!!!!

lol, you and bet sound like my friend - he thinks it was a murder weapon too. More than likely items from a robbery that were recovered and it went to trial.

Check the date and look at newspapers. Maybe you'll be able to find out which trial.
