Estate found Partridge Birds Painting

Nice find Bakersgma, I guess my searching skills need improving. So it can be almost any era then. Modern eras are from the 1940's to now.

 

"Modern" is such a relative term. Given what the painting looked like, I would have thought 90's.

As our artist friends will tell you, the various canvases and "boards" are often used long after their original production.

 

So the lady at the estate sale was brain dead "crazy" saying her husband got it in the 70's .

 

Not necessarily - but, having been there, the 70's was close to 50 years ago. I often "think" I got something in the 80's, but the 90's would often be more likely. If you catch my drift.

 

you always have to take the sellers story.....with a tablespoon of salt !

 

Yeah, I know, ug !

 

I'm just going to say it looks an awful lot like the art you see in hotel rooms, and I've seen plenty of that. It's just out there enough with the interesting frame and it has that coordinated palette that they usually have.

 

I'm not saying I don't like it, because I do, but it does look a tad commercial.

I hadn't even noticed the birds. I was entranced by the frame! LOL
