Fenton hobnail square votive holder / ashtray?

Can anyone tell me if these are really Fenton? I see matching pieces (in various colors), listed as such, but I can't find them in my Fenton books or catalogs. The John Walk Big Book of Fenton has a hobnail pattern ware listing, but no entry for a votive / tealight / candleholder or ashtray that matches this size.

It's 3" square, and sits 1.25" high. Unmarked. Thanks!

By the way - the color in my pic resembles Fenton's Colonial Blue, but the actual color is closer to a Robin's egg blue. It was really hard to capture it correctly.

Thanks Rayo - I also have my doubts that they are Fenton. But thanks for that link - I forgot that people also list them as salt dips. I checked my Walk Fenton book again, and there are no salts on his hobnail catalog list.

Dangit - I searched Replacements, but evidently not for "hobnail ashtray". I remember looking on that site for candleholders. The circular hole is the perfect size for a tealight, and I actually purchased it with an old, stinky votive candle embedded in it.

Thanks, Don. I'll see if I can verify the Brooke info.

    Hi,
I had several of those hobnail pieces. I always called them "Michigan Mint Blue" after the hard candies sold back then. Do they even make them anymore???

The "chair coasters" are always plain (no indents in the carpet) and the center depression is larger in diameter.

I've never heard of those, Greg, but there is a "Michigan Mint" online shop:

The color (second from right in the group photo) looks pretty close to what the glass color looks like in normal room lighting. The Replacments photo color is also pretty close.

    Hi,
I just remember them from when I was growing up. It was a strange color between a bright clear blue with a touch of turquoise. For some reason I have been able to "see" more colors than other people. Once my MIL chipped a favorite plate of hers. She was telling me over the phone. I said if it was the plate that she showed me last fall, she said yes. I went to the store and bought I thought was the same green that I remembered. She went crazy since the green I bought was the exact shade of green of her plate. Colors have always been a favorite of mine.

I have a clear hobnail one of these and can’t find it listed anywhere. Not sure if it’s Fenton but it’s not listed on replacements.com that I can find d
