Sorry for the lack of photos in the last thread:
(the one on the bottom is about an inch across)

I have found these things metal detecting in different locations (all old farms) and have spent a lot of frustrated time trying to identify them. I have been totally unsuccessful. Does anyone have suggestions; or ideally know what they are or what they were used for? They appear to be made out of copper.

I was thinking something like that but I have found these three things very far distances from each other, so if it is a part it must be fairly common part which appears to not be true since I have not been able to identify it looking through pages and pages of people finds from farms on metal detecting forums.

well, those look like machined or stamped out parts of something mechanical...that broke and were replaced on the spot...and then discarded where they lay....
    imo...

I'm pretty dang sure they are for connecting sheet metal parts, like body parts, to the frame of a vehicle. Tractors included.

I know that their was tractors where I found these; one of them was right next to a stone that had probably been drilled and broken up in the early 1800s, I found an old ball joint near the same place. Do you have any ideas to the exact part that it is?

The bent ones look as I said and could be spacers for the same use. Ever seen how fenders are connected to a car/truck body?
Now those are 'shims' and are U shaped for easier and quicker fit.
    ~
The curved one could be a spacer for a plowing disc or similar part.

Thanks, I don't know how you knew this but I think you're right!!:jawdrop::)
After looking for a bit it looks like these are older slightly different types of Suspension Mount Shims, here's a photo of a new type; I definitely see a strong resemblance:

I have no help for you on IDing these metal parts. Just wanted to say, these pics could have been added to your first message without starting a new thread. All you had to do was to add pics to a reply on the other thread. Multiple threads on same subject/items can be very confusing.

She's a rare car. 3rd generation Chevy II Nova...but the last Chevy II.
'69 on, which I had first, were Novas not Chevy IIs.
    ~
Only 5,470 of these built and a great many became drag cars right off so there are few.

The hood trim bar states; CHEVY II.
In '69 it was a small blue Chevrolet emblem.
