Chinese check tag?

    I think this is a check tag, but I've never seen anything that looked like this...

    Thoughts?

    "Hong Kong" is there as well. And "labour" better translated as "worker" or "labourer."

    Probably for a check-in check-out board or such.

    That's generally what a check tag is. Most people think of the one's used my miners going down into the mines, but factories used them. Later on, so did retail businesses, for things like dry cleaning.

    At the shipyard I had brass tags with #98 and I think I still have them.
    One had holes big enough to pass cutting torch hoses through and another set to clip to welding cables.
    This way everyone knew who was using them and could follow them to find us.
    On my Navy ships we didn't have these because only certain rates, Hull Technicians for one, like me, could use them.
