Bought this at a yard sale for $3 today. I usually steer clear of Oriental things, but I figured the frame was worth that. Framed between 2 pieces of glass. Thought I had seen the signature someplace before. Any help appreciated. I don't even know where to start looking for this. DSCN3271.JPG DSCN3276.JPG DSCN3277.JPG

Now I am thinking Chinese, since googling "Chinese art faith" I see the characters are the same as Chinese "Faith". Still cant find a copy of the artwork though.

Maybe try 'abstract' or 'modern' Japanese art ? I like this a lot. I see 'Ramio" ?

Thanks for the input Johnny. I'm wondering if the dark pencil scribble on the bottom left might be an artist signature. It looks like maybe an AN or AW

I know this can be very confusing. The symbol faith is written in Kanji. These were used both by the Chinese and the Japanese.

I think you should focus more on Japanese artists. And Johnny is right it, it does look more modern. The characters in the red seal mark also look written in Kanji.
