    Hello!
My family and I found this piece on an old property of ours. We have no clue what it is. It seems to have some sort of hinges on the side and the top ‘gear’ moves a bit. It is attached to a piece of wood. My only guess is some sort of pulley system but my dad thinks it could be part of a door/lock? 4E0D639D-B4AA-49DF-BAEE-2D8A7B5AC23B.jpeg 53BAD6BB-62F3-4D87-8E18-88EE5ED37E6D.jpeg Anybody have any idea??

Hello and welcome to the board.
I have no idea what it is, but correct orientation might help.

Be sure to check back, people come and go at all hours.

I see writing on the top. Can you post that? Maybe it’s for launching a boat and reeling it in. Possibly a moored small boat. Just guessing

My grandfather remembered what this is! It is the top of an old washing machine! Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
