hep identify artist signature

    Hi All
    Is the attached artist signature (or monogram) AC or CA? For me it looks CA though it is described as AC in one online art store catalog. Does anyone have any idea on the identity of the the artist also?

    The A being superimposed over the C seems to indicate its greater importance: therefore, the initials would be C A.

    A photo of the whole thing might give us a clue as to the artist. In any case, he or she desperately needs to be rescued from that seriously desiccated frame.

    ...At the moment, the only C A who comes to mind is Charles Atlas...
