I tested this myself **proud** with Simi! I read that on the eBay boards years ago.

Not tried that! The metal (?) ones look 30s Czech again and a bit Neiger.

Ditto on the WOW factor of the black ones (glass, not metal pretty sure.) If I'm correct about glass, I think "pressed glass" for the patterned ones on that black strand. GORGEOUS.

I think the red ones with the crescent moon shape are likely wood. Honestly I think I have a near identical necklace, will have to take a look.

The one that follows that you say "probably wood" is really unusual and beautiful. I always look for cool beads when out and about and haven't seen similar to that. Very, very nice.

That strand is tied with the black ones as my favorite.

    Great group!

    Thank you Lucille x xx
Actually, you could be right about the black ones being glass. They have a strange **feel**, not like normal glass but just had another good feel and they actually could be glass xx
The crescent-y ones could be wood actually too. They are lightweight ... thank you ! x x x

    Look again closely.
Might be 1930s celluloid. I have earrings very similar and they are not wood.
The other ones, might be that nut, what is it? taga or something like that

The black ones might be 1920s to coincide with the King Tut finding. Those are intriguing.

The more I look, the more I think the black ones are Neiger.

Cluttered is correct. I found the similar strand I have and checking in the hand, does seem to be some early plastic or similar (not wood). I'll post a photo in a minute.

Also on the 2nd set, the brown and colored, the possibly nut one(?) I think a good sign they are connected individually with metal loops.

I've found that older necklaces where they took the time to link each bead individually like that with wire, the extra work vrs stringing the whole thing, you are usually going to be looking at a necklace that is a cut above.

Getting even more intrigued by that one the more I look at it.
