More help with artist name please

Alan Loti? Loth?

 

Both of these hard edge multicolor abstracts are making me nuts. I’ve seen both of them before and I‘m racking my brain and can’t come up with a thing. I also never would have known that third drawing was Raul as I’ve known him casually forever-we have a close mutual friend but he was so young when he did those. I bet he’ll respond to your note and you may want to include images of the other two and ask if they ring a bell with him. The worst he can do is not respond but I bet he will. Did they all come out of the same house? Wouldn’t surprise me.

 

That was brilliant. I can see Alan and every fiber in my being tells me I know both these works. On this one I just can’t think of any Alan who was a colorist beside Alan Shields and he wasn’t a hard edge minimalist. I’m not a big researcher on boards but I’m trying on these lol. They’re just ringing too many bells.

No confusion. Totally understand and suggesting you show the other two images to Raul to see if he can identify the sigs since you’re contacting him anyway. He’s been an active part of the LA art scene forever. The other two are both known IMO-I’ve seen both works before.
