Cast Iron Door stop? Whatsit?

Picked this up today because i thought it was cute. Weight is about 2 lbs, And it is 9" tall. There are no markings i can see. That's all i know.

Is there room for a piece of slag glass in that frame? Could there have been a light hooked on the back? very nice

 

If you mean the groove on the back, it is about 1/16" deep and doesn't go all the way around the oval. Could nave been a lamp maybe?

I think it was. The bulb socket would have went in that slot thing.I think its 1920s.Cool piece.

 

Maybe not a lamp per say but possibly some type of night light.

Very nice, I would get a piece of slag glass cut for it. I think a soft blue or green, since she is a bathing beauty.

Probably not that hard to make into a night lamp.

I think it's cute, too -- and would have bought it. Nice that it's part of a lamp!
