Signature Help Please - Decorative Aluminum Tray

    At first look I would have thought this was an Arthur Court piece but it is not. The signature appears to say ©1994 OLDSON. I must be reading it incorrectly because I can not find a thing. Please help! thank you!! cowtray.jpg cowtray1.jpg cowtray2.jpg

    NICE! I just looked through my Collectible Aluminum book...nothing..


    Some thoughts...


    Yes..I would have thought Wendell August or Cromwell.. maybe a piece made by one of their workers on own..?? Or an independent craftsman . Most aluminum is not signed like this...

    The back treatment is very different from any aluminum piece I have seen. Usually plain or just indentations from from design.

    This is a very different piece...deserves some research...


    Could it be another metal? Pewter?

    Janette, thank you, I continue to research. I do believe it is aluminum but I guess pewter could be possible.

    I am wondering if it could be Carson Pewter? I found a couple of marks that appear similar but the fact that this one is so hard to make doesn't help.
