Hi James, welcome. Word of advice: remove your email address from this thread. It can be read by anyone outside the forum and before you know it, you will be getting the strangest emails. Here is how to post a thread with pictures: https://www.antiquers.com/threads/posting-a-thread-and-uploading-pictures.15990/
Yes, signature in bottom left. I took the back off as there seemed to be sand or dust inside the frame and it transpires that the board in the back of it had woodworm so I cleaned it all and put it back in original frame
hang tight James...it's a holiday weekend so the folks who may know , could take a while to show up...
It's a religious picture. I think that makes it a hard sell. How many people want a picture of Jesus dominating their living room? It's well enough painted. I find his left hand odd - very pointy fingers - but it's the subject matter that will limit its appeal.
Thank you. I think that the main appeal is that it's depicts Jesus Christ. That's why I have it. I am sure that some will like it and some won't. Have a good remainder of the weekend...
It's one of the Sacred Heart images, Catholic and occasionally Lutheran. My guess would be that it's a print. It's one of those things you either really like or can't stand. I'm too much of a Baptist to hang it, but I do like it.
Look at this, Now i am not saying it is him, But the signature certainly looks the same to my eyes. Bernal signed some of his paintings without the R also Mikey
