13 pound ABC Glass Tankard/Champagne pitcher

I know this is a long shot but does anyone recognize the maker? I was really hoping I would find a Libbey signature but all I found was honest wear on the bottom. This piece is heavy weighing in around 13 pounds!!! Approx. 14" in height.

Yes I wondering if it could be crystal as it so heavy! Refraction (?) seems greater then what it should be. Does that make sense? I might not be using the correct terminology.

 

Did you look around the handle for a mark?

 

Just checked and nothing........thank you though. Never thought to look at the handle. I did also look in between the rays on the base.

 

Finally got accepted into the FB group - confirmed it is American Brilliant but no makers yet.....will update if I ever find out

 

I've always been curious about these pitchers. Did people actually use these with liquid inside them? It takes 3 men and a boy to pick one up when empty. Can't imagine filling it with anything, unless they had butlers who poured. My Grandma had 2 of these (well chipped) and she used them for flowers. Very pretty!
