bought me a lamp that was described as "patinated pewter". with a whopping 62 cm and the name Orivit it wasn't a risk even though it wasn't a bargain at 350 €.
when it arrived I had the feeling - after a glimpse underneath - that something was wrong. so the Orivit book out and search for model 292 - which seems rare because 3 digit no. and was listed as bronze.
    what do you think ?

Did they show it with shade?
I'm not sure that is the original shade. For some reason I think it should be somewhat floral with that base.

I am not familiar with Orivit and I could be way off base, but the shade looks like something that should be hanging from a ceiling.

the shade fits excactly into the ring with the three holding screws. which doesn't exclude that the upper construction was made in different variations because it's normal brass tole.

Of course it does it does.
Fitters and shades come in standard sizing. Easy to interchange lamp shades to other lamps.

Wonder if @Iowa Jayhawk or @Brazos know anything about these lamps.

Though not versed in Orivit lamps, looks OK to me. Could see how a catalog could list as bronze even if only a plated bronze finish. Orivit is known for pewter so, if really a patinated bronze finish on pewter, it would be in keeping with the company.

it's even titled real bronze. besides pewter they also worked in alpaka.
Orivit bought out Orion and that gives a bit an uncertainty about the 3-digit model numbers sometimes.
