I know we cannot talk price here but maybe someone can share a contact who could appraise this item. I have had 2 appraisals done and they very widely. One says it is a 19th century plate due to the hanging tab
other says its 20th century - I am told it is a life theme.
one says it is not silver or tin but some coin silver with copper
    other says tibetian silver
    OMG I need an expert.

Did your experts agree that it is Persian? If the hanger is just sort of slapped on with solder, it may not tell much about the age.

They did agree it was Persian. Both of them used the Tree of life verbage

I am not an expert, but I love Persian arts and artifacts. So, yes, it is Persian, my guess is first half of the 20th century. The scene, with an abundance of flowers and birds, refers to Paradise.
The Persian tree of life is very similar to their Paradise imagery, it has different flowers blooming on the same tree, and birds on the branches. So the term sounds fine to me.
It is amazing how little those appraisers know about Persian crafts. It is tinned copper, which is used a lot in Iran. Tinned copper means it is copper with a thin layer of tin, that is the silvery colour you see.

Tibetan silver is a recent (Chinese) seller's term for a silvertone copper alloy. It should not be part of an antique appraiser's vocabulary.

I do not see the tree of life, which has an upright stem; but I agree it's Persian because of the birds. if it is really old - 17th c. and before - there was the technique of silverwash used; a bit like the printmaking for electronics when still handmade - very unhealthy for the workers, but still used for high-quality wallhangers etc..

It looks first half of the 20th century to me. The quality is not the same as older or more recent pieces. There was a dip in artistic perfection from ca 1890 onwards through demand from the tourist industry, and quality control was reintroduced ca 1960.
That doesn't mean this is a bad piece, it means that both older and more recent pieces are often truly excellent.

I'm no expert but I do have some knowledge in this field. I think it's lacking in quality and detail of a expensive piece. I think it was made in India with a Islamic trate around 1960's for tourists, sorry
