Does anyone recognize the artist?

This is a bronze sculpture of a Native American Mother and Child. Does anyone know who the artist is?

 

Could this be an Indian Mother and child? Not American Indian?

 

This is bronze, not pottery or porcelain? Oh well. I don't recognize the letters/initials, but I would suspect that it's a limited edition.

 

what tribe do they belong to ?

 

It's very heavy and feels like some sort of metal. My guess is bronze. Could it be copper or brass?? It is solid, whatever it is.

 

I believe this was purchased in Santa Fe, NM in the 80's ?? That is why I thought they were a Native American Mother/Child. I wish I could figure out what the initials stand for and what it's made out of.

 

Does anyone know where the mother and child are from??? A guess?
