Who is this Japanese pottery Mark?

    Would anyone be able to read this mark on a hand made pottery sushi plate. Thank you .

    Just for your future information, it is always a good idea to post a photo of the full top and the full underside and side to illustrate the design, shape and pattern of the item. These can also help identify the mark and maker and age of the item.

    I'm not sure this is Japanese, it looks like Shj or Zhj. Though it could possibly be something else. Could we see it photographed in sharper focus perhaps and even more close up?

    Hard to tell, but to me the last letter looks like an X.

    I enlarged it, but couldn't do much with the blur.....there's a '17' upper left, I see what looks like a script 'reix'.....whatever that is....
