Featured Silver and ? Ring

I found this little ring at an antiques mall in the US. I’ve looked for info about the mark on the back, I’m not really sure what I’m looking at to be honest.

A piece of the stone has fallen out, I am thing to tinker with something as a replacement, because I like the overall look of the ring, but thought I should maybe see if I can find out anything about it before I do that.

I have a ring and earring set identical to this one, except the stone is lapis.
It is in my case at the antique mall. I believe it is Native American, or Native style. I cannot recall now what the inside marks are on my set.
You may be able to replace the missing onyx bit.

Thank you! I do quite like it, and it was interesting to see the same ring online using different stones/colors. Plus it gave me a whole new direction to go into for further research about jewelry/craft styles...

I would never have figured out the name, I kept reading something ending in SF, so I thought it could be that American designer who signs with something SF. And whose name I never remember.
There are many silversmiths in the Lonjose family, but I don't know who CS is.
