I picked up two lead figures on Saturday & I have ID'd the other one as Marie de Medici wife #2 of King Henry IV of France. Hopefully someone can help me who this might represent. I did find one that had been listed on ebay, but the seller's description was literally non-existent. http://www.ebay.com/itm/EL02-Pre-WW...720926?hash=item569463441e:g:mqQAAOSwLEtYlDba Thank you for any & all advice or opinions!!!
Well my 2 lead figures sold last night & considering they sold for 5x what I paid for them I was quite pleased. http://www.ebay.com/itm/391773082360?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/391773092790?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649 The buyer messaged me this morning to tell me that the one figurine was Catherine de Medici, not Marie like I had found on-line, who was queen of France in the mid 16th century. The other one was Louis the XI who ruled France from 1461 to 1483. I guess his "peaked hat was something of a fashion statement at the time". Quite frankly when I first saw it I wasn't sure if it was a man or a woman. This particular buyer likes to find the king & queen figurines for the "veritable history of French fashion".
Hi there, I happen to have the Queen and King figurines and want to sell them. DO you still have that buyers info?
These figures sold 2 years ago so I would have no idea who bought them, but they did sell on eBay so I would think if you list them with the correct information yours would sell also.
