    Hi to all of you...
Hope you are all keeping well in this difficult period....
Have just bought this old rug ...Very cheap...But don't know anything about its Provenance...Age...Style...???
It is very old for sure...
The texture material is not like a traditional carpet...It does look like a linen or cotton canvas with almost similar design on both sides.
It is for sure a Tribal rug representing a deer in the middle...Colors look faded a little but the overall has a lot of charm.
It seems that some reparation have been done already ...As a darker red fresh patch can be noticed in the middle.
    Size is 261 x 145 cm
Would like to know if possible, which is the origine and age of this tribal rug.
    Thanks

It is very similar to my Karabagh, sans the deer and pile.

I don't know about the killims, the Karabagh pile rugs are extremely velvety and finely woven so do have some value. I suppose yours does too, it is quite interesting and rare so E100 seems like I good buy to me.
Price really depends on what rugs are currently fashionable and suit modern decorating schemes.

Agree that was a good buy. I would have bought it and with the exception of a couple of pile rugs ours are all kilims and Navajos. My personal preference is for flat woven rugs.
