Am hoping someone might know the maker of this beige planter. The planter itself is oval, but it sits on a rectangular base with rolled feet on opposite ends. It is marked with embossed USA. Measures 8" by 4" at the base and 7-1/2" by 4-1/2" at the planter part. Stands 4-1/4" tall.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    TIA
    Kathy

    You might check out Copley.

    Hi Pat,
Thanks for your suggestion. I did check Copley with no luck. Am trying to remember what pottery company used embossed USA. Help still needed.

Shawnee frequently used the USA mark- both embossed and incised. It looks like Shawnee Pottery to me.

Another maybe is Brush, but I looked in the two books I have to no avail. (Didn't find it in Curran's Shawnee book, either.)

Does this look right? It's from McCoy Pottery Vol III, Nissen and Hanson, 1959 catalog.

It looks like it to me; I guess it's fawn. I wish I could remember it for five minutes, because I think we've seen it before. Good finding that.

    Hi,
Fawn is a strange color for McCoy. In all my years I find I have only seen three fawn colors.
