Picked this up a few days ago. Personally, I love it. I’m surprised he is not a listed artist. I can find several of his works although he seems to be more noted for his later western work, I find this better, actually one of his best IMO, but hey, what do I know. :) 33.5 X 39.5.

Violin and what? Whats Silfer? :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: Does the value go up if it has an error in the label :hilarious:

would love to hear your respected opinions on the quality.

Did you find this interesting piece of information about the artist? "In 1967, W.T. Burger Company of Chicago became his dealer and Burger representatives ultimately purchased his total output of 297 paintings."

No shame in enjoying this work. A very polished still life. (And isn't that a sword's hilt protruding from under the "silber" tray?)

NoShame, is my middle name ;) :)

... and yes, I believe that is a hilt protruding from under the “silcer” ;) tray.

W.T. Burger title on the sticker in the back, yes
    Thanks

The Frisian and Hollandish way of saying silver.:playful: They can't say the V in the west and far north of the Netherlands. Or the Z.
    It doubles.:joyful:

The detail is amazing. No doubt you found this one on LiveAuctioneers, but yours is much nicer.

Very interesting, and here I thought it was a type-o(something I am personally very familiar with :) ). The company based in Indiana must have had european roots(don’t we all). Thank you, my Lady.

Yes, looked him up extensively, I was able to pick it up at a small local auction house for less than a delivered pizza w/tip. Best day of my life(note:Every day forward is the best day of my life :) ).

liveauctioneers, has several, thats why I am surprised he isn’t listed.

He’s listed in Davenports 2004 Art Reference and Samuels 1985 Contemporary Western Artists.
I have both of those books but back in Denver, maybe somebody else here has them.
He’s listed just not on any of the online reference sites, those sites get their listings from auction houses, dealers and contributors, apparently no one has added him yet.
