Hello Jewelery forum! Found these very nice pocket watches for a euro each, no marks and most likely costume jewelery, but I'm wondering how old they are? The chains look original and either have some years or are in a right state. Very ornate, both came with little bits of ribbon tied around them, a purple/gold floral for the large, and a brown for the small.

Well, the larger one says 'Quartz' on the face, so it's not antique.

Yup both say quartz. Shame though as they really are lovely! Styles are hard to tell sometimes, its so ornate its throwing me off as to which decade it was made. It could be 70s it could be the 2000s I don't have a clue. :hilarious:

Are you trying to make a determination for the purposes of crafting a sales listing? Think condition & whether or not running & keeping time will be more important than pinning down exact decade. My guess would be 80s, but only a guess.

If they're worth anything then I'd be happy to sell them, they're in excellent condition and just need a battery I think, but I liked the look of them and wouldn't mind having them around. Watches aren't my thing usually lol. I was more curious then anything else. Thank you!

The one on the right looks like things I have seen at vendor gift shows. Sort of an antique brass look.
I've been attending them since about 2008. So I would say the little one is more recent.
If the larger one is the same antique brass look then I would put it in the same time period. The antique brass is a newer look.
