I have the very small bronze soldier figure. I believe he is a Viking but not sure. I found a few on the net that were similar but just curious what some of the experts think. He stands 1 1/2" tall. Thanks for your help! viking 1.jpg viking 2.jpg viking 3.jpg viking 4.jpg

Thanks Hollyblue, a gaming piece could certainly make sense.

I suspect he is pewter and not bronze. Looks more silver than gold. Could be my monitor though.

Thanks Bronwen and clutteredcloset49. He definitely is not pewter. I have to work on my camera settings as it tends to sometime wash out the color.

I agree. Probably a souvenir, likely pewter or an alloy.

Your welcome Chess piece are usually different colors. You can do a scratch test on the bottom of the piece. The brass coloring is whisker thin. There are so many tricks to making new objects look like antiques, you would not believe it if I told you what I know. And I am sure I am a complete amateur! But I did tour an antique reproduction manufacturer in New Hampshire around 1982 and they were real pro's!
