Can anyone tell me anything about this?

This was bought in the 70s. the lamp on the top is not original to the piece. that is all I know about it. if anyone has any clue what it could be I would appreciate any information. Thank you!

I think it was converted to a lamp in the 60s,but that base sure looks older to me. It could be 1920s Italian ,but I feel its an old ,maybe even 18th century. That sure looks polychromedto me. But Im often wrong,so wait for others.

 

Possibly an antique polychrome ecclesiastical candlestick. Looks to be in too good of condition to be terribly old. Worth taking off the lamp fitting to see what you have. Some better pics here afterwards and/or sent to an auction house for evaluation may be in order.

 

Agree on Italian. I'd take it apart too. I don't think it's as early as all that: the carving isn't fine enough, and the dirt looks a tad too careful.
