Unknow artist on watercolor ?

Today find and liked it because expensive frame so must be something maybe ? So any idea about the maker ? Signature is difficult to read as looking a bit faded made in 79 because it's there after the signature on the painting

 

I take it you bought it in The Netherlands. In that case the name could be Henny Spanjaard. Not that I know an artist by that name, but that is what it looks like to me.

 

I read Hemmy more then Henny so what do you think ?

 

I find it odd that the color on the bottom has been applied over the signature.

 

I want to see the frame.

 

Yes, my mind was translating it to something else again (which turned out to be not to far from the actual name last time). I am from a part of the country where there are more Hennys than Hemmys. Hemmy is a eastern, isn't it, short for Hermina or something?
When I googled Hemmy Spanjaard, they asked me if I meant Henny Spanjaard, so even Google is doing it now.

 

Yes, as if it was signed first and painted later. Hemmy/Henny could even be one of those artists who just don't know when to stop. Maybe even took her paint to the framer.

 

Name problem is solved on the other forum and it's the South African-born Henry Symonds who made the painting . Send him already a message on his facebook about this art and maybe the title . So thanks and happy I got the artist
