So, i have acquired this beautiful chandelier for about 20€. It was pretty damaged but I have restored it to it's former glory. I believe it's from the late 19th or early 20th century? Any opinions what style it might be?
    I live in Hungary, Europe.

    Welcome, Matt. Nice chandelier.
The style is Baroque, so much older than your chandelier, which is probably 20th century.
I live in the Netherlands, and we have them here in brass. If I remember correctly, the ball chandelier is a Flemish invention. Polished brass reflected the light, and the ball shape dispersed the light throughout a room.
Check out old Dutch and Flemish paintings and you will see those brass chandeliers. They are still being made here.

There are many variations of the Baroque ball chandelier.
Johannes Bosboom, 'Church Interior', this one doesn't have your finial:

Same artist, 'Interior of the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam with the Small Organ', this one has a double chandelier with a finial similar to yours:

    Thanks for your reply!
Yes indeed, it reminded me of one of those Dutch chandelier! I wasn't sure since the arms are attached to the center of the ball instead of hanging from it's top and also that floral final seemed odd? I thought it was one of the Victorian Revival styles.

So I suppose it was made around WW1? I don't believe it was very fashionable later in the 20th century.
There was also this old cloth wiring and the original bulb sockets with porcelain parts.

Perhaps from some church? Since it's very large and heavy

It is a similar type, most likely inspired by the Dutch and Flemish ones.
If you still have the old wiring and porcelain parts, could you post photos?
I would guess a country church or something like a country manor or town hall.

I don't have the old wiring anymore, threw it away. The metal wires were wrapped in cloth which was falling apart so I replaced it with new ones since it was a huge safety hazard. I have close ups of pictures prior my restoration. I left the original bulb sockets since they are fine.

Thanks Matt, now all we need is some of the members who know their porcelain sockets.;) They will be along later.
