Sterling H'dle

This is a 10 1/2" cake server with ss blade and sterling handle. I've found a couple of items online marked with handle written as "h'dle" but they were further identified.
I've been unable to find this pattern. Any ideas on pattern or manufacturer? Thanks!

 

I know u mean stainless steel....but ss can also mean sterling silver....
just sayin..

I'm assuming there is no Makers name on the server? I've come across many sterling handle cake servers in my time and many that I never figured out who made them. So I just figured that they weren't part of any pattern and maybe the maker was irrelevant. Perhaps this cake server was part of a set that included a cake knife? Like for use at a wedding reception? Or Giftware for the new bride? There were many one offs in this kind of item. A stainless steel blade suggests 1950s and later. I can't read the writing on the blade. What does it say? Also, you can sometimes find the maker name in little tiny letters stamped on the neck of the piece where it connects to the blade. Are you looking with a loupe?

 

Having just "sterling handle" on a flatware item doesn't really point to a particular maker. Many "hollow handle" pieces (especially knives) have only the "sterling handle" impression even though the rest of the set has the expected maker's marks.

Closer pictures of all marked places may very well give us more clues to go on.

This one had a nice "Danish design" look to it - very popular from the late 30's through the 40's, but could be more recent too.

 

Thanks Ola. The blade just says "stainless steel". I did check the neck with magnification and nothing there. I'll just accept no pattern and irrelevant maker. I had just thought the way "h'dle" was written might have been specific to some maker. Appreciate your response.

Thanks Bakersgma. You just made my day! Having Danish/Scandanavian as a search word I found the exact pattern for sale on Etsy for a carving knife/fork. Identified by seller as 1930's Scandinavian Arts &Crafts style. Can't tell you how many hours I'd searched before with no luck. Offered mine to the seller (free) so the pieces can be reunited. It's the little things.......
