Anyone know what to call this oil lamp?

I'm watching this at an online auction because it's unusual and interesting. But, I've been unable to find any info on it. I've searched for "oil lamp wheel" and "oil lamp ring". And I've tried "multiple oil lamp".

Has anyone seen one of these before? Do you know what it's called? I assume it's some kind of hanging lamp but I'm not even sure of that.

I apologize for the small size of the pic but it's all I have.

I have no idea...however, being in that kind of mood, here's my WAG. It's lighting for an old bar, made to hang so that earthquakes or inebriated gunslingers don't dislodge it and its contents.

As for what to call it...kinda looks like a Herbert to me. :)

No idea what to call it (though Herbert seems to fit;)), but it looks like one tier of a chandelier to me. Possibly "locally" made/crafted for a specific person/application.

Definitely looks like something previously attached to other parts with an axle-like pipe through the center.

(Herbert works for me too! :hilarious: )

I think it's probably for a commercial building because why else would you need 10 burners? And it is only part of a fixture.

Unusual things like this speak to me. "Buy me......buy me...." they say.

Count me in on mystified. Love to know if those burners actually screw on to pipe or are stuck into holes. If stuck in then the whole thing is jerry-rigged. If the burners are actually screwed on then probably had an definite original purpose. Speaking of burners, 3 of them are coronet burners with circular galleries and the others are prong burners.

I would say, put it on Ebay for a 10 day auction. Someone will know what it is and may pay a pretty good Buck for it.

And I just realized that one of the other items in the lot may have been the reflector.

I think it belonged to Johnny Cash and inspired him to write "Ring of Fire"

Actually, "Ring of Fire" was written by Johnny's wife, June Carter Cash, with Merle Kilgore.
But this clearly was her inspiration.
