Featured Beaded purse

I think this is a c1920s clutch. It has a beaded belt loop in back. Snap closure. Fully lined with silk or satin. Interior slip pocket. 6" wide by 3 1/2" tall. Some of the round beads and oblong ones in flowers look like they are peeling off the "pearl" sheen. Would these likely be painted glass beads to make them look like pearls? Any other info on where these were made or anything else very much appreciated.

 

They would be glass pearls. Think you put a few fingers through that loop to keep hold of it without totally tying up that hand. Not a belt loop.

It looks ca 1920s-30s. A lot of these were made in Germany.

 

Yes, they are "faux" pearls. Lovely purse!
If you search 1920s beaded purse on ebay, you will see many similar listed for sale in the $10-$20 range.
